North Korea was pushed from South Korea and Kaesong was occupied. Eventually the tide turned on all fronts. Russian Bloc maintained the offensive through the remainder of 2016 and into early 2017. The Serbia and even former NATO member Turkey eventually joined the war on the side of Russia. North Korea also invaded South Korea and the Syrian Civil War had become a part of the global conflict. The war started off with a Russian military invasion of the Pacific Northwest region of the United States, followed by a full-scale invasion of Eastern Europe.
